Special concept: worth seeing for what it is
Santiago · Recoleta, Chile
Why it’s on the route
Café Altura was started by Peruvian entrepreneur Segundo Tello, whose first import was 500 kilos of Villa Rica coffee and whose first outlet was a wooden espresso cart in La Vega Central market. It now roasts at its own plant, mainly Peruvian coffees from Quellouno in Cusco and Villa Rica, alongside other origins. The La Vega stand serves espresso drinks and espresso tonics.
