Why it’s on the route

ROAST was founded in 2014 by Andreas Astrup and roasts in the basement bar on Vestmannagade, buying through Cup of Excellence auctions and a 50-50 label that shares half the retail price with producers. Several coffees are roasted in house, and pour-overs are made in view of the counter. The roasts run from light to dark, with a fuller body than typical Scandi styles.
