Why it’s on the route
3FE was founded in 2009 by Colin Harmon, who won the Irish Barista Championships in 2008. It roasts its own coffee and sources from Ethiopia, Colombia, Kenya and Guatemala, serving espresso and filter and selling beans and subscriptions. The Grand Canal Street café is the stand-alone shop, with other Dublin cafés run alongside it.
