Why it’s on the route

Morihico's original shop in Maruyama is a 1952 wooden house that the owner's family converted into a café themselves in 1996. Beans are roasted by the company and ground to order, and every cup is brewed individually by flannel drip, including Mori no Shizuku, a medium-dark, mocha-based blend sold only here. Inside are a table set on an old sewing-machine base, a wood stove in winter, and upstairs windows looking onto the trees.
