Why it’s on the route
Knopes was founded in 1936 by Albert Knopes and is now run by the fourth generation, with Fabien Knopes selecting the coffees. The roastery cafe in a former garage on Route d'Esch has a restored 1960s Probat UG22 behind the bar, used on Mondays and Thursdays. It serves a seasonal 1936 blend and single-origin filter coffees, and doubles as a showroom for espresso and filter equipment.
