Why it’s on the route

French Truck began in 2012 when Geoffrey Meeker, a former cook, started roasting in his laundry room and delivering beans in a vintage Citroën truck. The Magazine Street café, opened in 2014 in a bright yellow former life-raft repair building, was built around the roastery, with a glass wall onto the roasting floor. The bar serves espresso from a La Marzocco alongside Hario V60 pour-overs.
