Why it’s on the route

Sara Walker has roasted under the Vent name since 2013 and opened this roastery-café in 2017 inside Union Collective, a converted warehouse of independent Baltimore businesses. The open room has high ceilings, concrete floors and picnic tables, with a Diedrich roaster beside the seating, and the bar adds a slow-bar menu with AeroPress and Chemex to espresso.
