Why it’s on the route
La Puerto Rico has served coffee in Montserrat since 1887 and is one of the city's Bares Notables. It roasted its own coffee for decades, about 180 kg a day until 2012, offering house roasts such as Brasil, Bourbon and Puerto Rico natural. New owners reopened it in late 2022 and said roasting would return; it is known for its cremonas.
