Coffee Five was opened in 2018 by Emerson and Rafaela Nascimento; Emerson, a two-time Brazilian Coffee in Good Spirits champion, roasts the house coffee under the Five Roasters label. The menu offers a daily espresso plus a guest, three filter profiles, fermented coffees and cold brew, alongside teas prepared by Rafaela. The shop is a small counter kiosk inside a gallery on Rua da Quitanda in downtown Rio.
