Why it’s on the route
Cupping Café was opened in 2017 by architect Gabriel Penteado, who has roasted the café's coffee himself since 2020. The menu is all Brazilian single origins with no blends, from partner farms in São Paulo, Minas Gerais and Bahia, served as espresso, tasting flights and filter on Koar, AeroPress, Hario and French press. The small Vila Madalena shop fills the front of a family house, with brewing information on the walls and cupping workshops.
