Supernova was started in 2015 by Luiz Eduardo Melo and Bruno Regalo and also runs the Supernova Hub, a collective roastery where café owners rent roasting time and take SCA courses. The Batel café serves rotating in-house roasts, with filter coffee a favourite, plus cinnamon rolls and alfajores. The minimalist, industrial room shares space with Mornings, a sandwich and vegan snack counter.
