Café Ñucallacta

Why it’s on the route

Café Ñucallacta, whose Kichwa name means 'my people', is run by Rumiñahui Duchicela and has roasted its own coffee in Cuenca for more than a decade. Brewed coffee and espresso drinks are made from house-roasted beans, which are also sold fresh by the bag. The original café sits on Hermano Miguel in the historic centre, with a second branch on Avenida Loja.
