Why it’s on the route

The Coffee Jar was opened by owner-barista Chong Joe Yee, who roasts in small batches on a compact Taiwanese roaster now set by the front window. Roasts lean medium with the occasional lighter batch, and the shelf has included a Panama Gesha; earlier menus listed siphon, ice drip and filter alongside espresso. The café recently moved one door down Lorong Hang Jebat into a bright, minimal concrete room near the river.
