Why it’s on the route

Cosmic was opened in 2018 by friends Patrick Dean and Paul Oveisi on about an acre off South Congress, built around large herb and vegetable gardens, a rainwater-fed pond and a certified wildlife habitat. The coffee bar pulls espresso from local roasters such as Texas Coffee Traders and Third Coast, with batch brew and cold brew on tap, next to a bar pouring Texas beer and agave cocktails. A second location operates in a repurposed industrial space in Saltillo.
