Why it’s on the route

Deeper Roots began as a nonprofit coffee effort before becoming a Cincinnati roaster, co-founded by Adam Shaw, and opened its first café in Oakley Square in 2015. Production now happens at a West End roastery on a U.S. Roaster Corp machine, with light roasts aimed at acidity and fruit. The Oakley bar pours espresso from a custom matte-black and brass La Marzocco and pour-overs on brass Modbar taps.
