Why it’s on the route

Madcap was founded in Grand Rapids in 2008 by Trevor Corlett and Ryan Knapp, and has become one of Michigan's best-known specialty roasters. Its first café, on Monroe Center downtown, is still the brand's historic starting point, while roasting, training and offices sit at a separate Fulton Street site. Come for a rotating menu of single-origin pour-overs alongside espresso.
