Peregrine Espresso

Why it’s on the route

Peregrine was opened in 2008 by Ryan and Jill Jensen, and this Eastern Market shop is the original; Ryan previously worked for Counter Culture. Since 2017 the coffee has come from the couple's own roastery, Small Planes, in DC, and the concise espresso menu is joined by a rotating filter option and single-origin and blend bags. Many of the staff have competed in regional and national barista and brewers cup events.
