Why it’s on the route

Sa-Ten opened in 2014 inside Canopy, a complex of artist studios and offices in East Austin, with a menu shaped by partnerships with Austin's Japanese restaurants Komé and East Side King. Alongside espresso drinks and coffee, it serves pastries and small Japanese-inspired plates such as kinoko toast and curry bowls. The industrial, high-ceilinged room is a long-standing base for remote workers and creatives from the surrounding studios.
