Why it’s on the route

Texas Coffee Traders is a family-owned East Austin roaster founded by R.C. Beall, who learned to roast in Montana under Michael Sivetz and ran Coffee Traders businesses elsewhere before settling in Austin with his wife Beth. The company sources organic, fair-trade and direct-trade coffees, including from growers in Monteverde, Costa Rica, and supplies many local cafés. The East 4th Street site combines the roasting warehouse with a small café.
