Why it’s on the route

Specs is a café, beverage mart and bar in the former Rosie's Confections space at the bottom of the Winooski rotary, run by Sam Nelis, previously beverage director at Barr Hill. The café pours classic filter coffee and espresso drinks, using Vivid Coffee Roasters for espresso, with house-made syrups and old-school foamy cappuccinos. A small bottle shop of fortified wines and amari connects through the wall behind the bar.
