Uncle Leroy's was founded by Austin Schwartz as a mobile coffee bar in a 1968 school bus, where he first roasted beans over a camp stove and poured V60s at a built-in counter. The business has since grown into a bohemian, hip Anchorage coffee house that still roasts its own coffee.
