Nice · Vieux Nice, France
Why it’s on the route
Cafés Indien began in 1925 as La Torréfaction de la Méditerranée et du Sud-Est and has been run by the Torre family since 1975. Jean-François Torre, trained in the craft, roasts coffees slowly in the Old Town, including single origins from Ethiopia and Colombia and organic lots. The shop sells beans, teas and chocolates, with a few tables inside and out for a coffee.
