Why it’s on the route
L'Alchimiste opened in 2014 as Bordeaux's pioneering specialty roaster and still roasts in-house, supplying restaurants and hotels as well as its café. The filter menu lists four to five single origins brewed by V60, alongside two single-origin espresso options. It also runs a training programme and a second café.
