Why it’s on the route
Café Piha was founded in 2016 by Pierre Guérin and Carole Laffargue, with Jérémie Vergne roasting and buying green coffee since 2021. Since 2024 it roasts on two Probat machines at Cité Bleue in Bacalan, in a workshop open to the public. The Rue des Ayres café serves espresso and filter roasts brewed on Chemex or V60.
