Why it’s on the route
Elbgold has roasted in Hamburg since 2004, and its Sternschanze flagship is the roastery itself, in a former meat-packing hall between cobblestones and breweries. The menu lists about twelve coffees, six for espresso and six for filter, brewed by French press, Hario V60 or AeroPress. Guests sit at common tables and lounge chairs inside, with sunny outdoor seating.
