Why it’s on the route
Kopiteori is a Makassar roaster and coffee shop run by Trian (Rahmat Fatrianto), who won the Indonesia Cup Tasters Championship in 2019. It roasts separate ranges for espresso and manual brew, with Sulawesi origins such as Toraja and Luwu alongside Sumatran lots. The original shop on Jalan Beruang houses the roastery and a slow bar, and the brand has since added several branches around the city.
