Why it’s on the route

Ome is the George Town home of Spacebar Coffee, which baristas Joachim Leong and Shean Tan started as a KL pop-up before settling in Penang in 2017; the name is 'home' without the h. The heritage shophouse has bare brick walls, a skylight and a long wooden table, with limited seats. Seasonal hand brews and espresso come with house bakes, and it was ranked on The World's 100 Best Coffee Shops 2025.
