Santa Elena roasts all its coffee in-house at its shop on the edge of Xalapa's Ánimas neighbourhood, buying locally grown beans in a direct-trade spirit. The range includes a classic roast, a Coatepec honey, a washed coffee from San Pablo and a darker Volcanic Roast, served by the cup or in bags, and staff explain the beans to customers. It is a casual third-wave café with a retro Super Nintendo in the corner.
