Special concept: worth seeing for what it is
London · Dalston, Hackney, United Kingdom
Why it’s on the route
Kaffa Coffee was founded in 2004 by Yared Markos, who also owns the plantation in Ethiopia's Kaffa province that supplies the beans. The coffee is roasted on site at the Gillett Square shop and served as a strong, black cup with an Ethiopian flag. The laid-back shop has outdoor tables, hosts live Ethiopian music, and is in the Hackney museum's recent East African community stories.
