Why it’s on the route

Catalyst roasts single-origin coffees and one blend on a 12 kg Diedrich in the basement, and glass panels in the café floor look down onto the roaster. The filter menu offers three V60 pour-overs and a batch brew, with sourcing that includes direct-trade lots from Colombia and a Taiwanese Gesha. The corner room is bright and airy with window bars and a communal table, and it turns into a small bar on Friday evenings.
