Afterglow Coffee Roasters

Why it’s on the route

Afterglow is a cooperative started in October 2021 by five former Lamplighter staff, who bought Lamplighter's café and roasting operation on Summit Avenue in Scott's Addition; it is described as Richmond's first worker-owned coffee roaster. The team roasts its own Afterglow coffees, supplies cafés and bakeries around the city and still roasts for Lamplighter, with a café in the 3,400-square-foot space.
