Blanchard's has roasted in Richmond since the mid-2000s and in 2015 moved into its Roast Lab on Westwood Avenue, with a Loring Kestrel roaster and an education centre with public classes. Some coffees are bought directly from farms, such as Finca San José de las Nubes in Nicaragua, and the cafés serve pour-over and espresso; Blanchard's won Axios Richmond's 2025 reader vote for best coffee shop.
