Why it’s on the route

Dune was started by married couple Julia Mayer and Todd Stewart, who opened a coffee shop in Santa Barbara in 2009 and began roasting their own on a Giesen in 2011. They look for sweet, balanced coffees and favor long-term relationships with producers and importers. The Anacapa Street café is the original and largest of their shops, with a patio.
