Why it’s on the route
Fidel & Co was opened in East Village in 2020 by founder Fidel Samour, who roasts the house blends on site on a Diedrich IR12. The roughly 2,000-square-foot space has midcentury furniture, a garage-door patio and a roastery seating area with live-edge tables and a mural of the stages of coffee production, and the kitchen bakes breads and pastries from scratch.
