Why it’s on the route

Little Collins is an Australian-run café named after a laneway in Melbourne's central business district, and it brought the Melbourne habit of pairing specialty coffee with a proper food menu to Midtown East when it opened in 2013. Flat whites and piccolos come off a Modbar setup, and the kitchen turns out dishes such as The Smash, avocado and feta on toast. The room is sleek and busy with weekday regulars.
