Why it’s on the route

Lost Sock is a small-batch DC roaster that roasts in Brightwood Park, buying green coffee through a few importers and direct-trade collectives that meet its sustainability standards. The Takoma café, its original shop next to the historic Takoma Theatre, serves espresso drinks and pour-overs with house-made syrups, plus empanadas and pan de yuca. A second café operates on L Street in NoMa.
