Why it’s on the route

Mahalo is a small Knoxville roaster that grew into a local chain under Trevor and Ashton Bayne; its downtown café on Union Avenue opened in 2021. The coffee is roasted for its own shops and sold wholesale and online, and the brand was later bought by Dale and Elizabeth Harold of Ham'n Goodys, with Mahalo's existing team still running day-to-day operations.
