Why it’s on the route

Remedy Coffee began in Knoxville's Old City and is run by Sean and Sara Alsobrooks under Knoxlife Church, with part of its profits going to help people downtown. This Tyson Street shop opened in 2015 in an open, roughly 1,800-square-foot room with a shared patio, next to their Maker's Donuts. Remedy has long served Intelligentsia coffee, including Chemex pour-overs, rather than roasting its own.
