Why it’s on the route

Presta was founded by Curtis Zimmerman, who still roasts the coffee on the 15-kilo Joper the company has used from the start, buying much of it through direct-trade relationships. This bar on East 9th Street occupies a 100-year-old former filling station on a popular bike route, keeping its exposed brick and faded automotive lettering alongside a wood bar and a pared-back mid-century interior. Presta also runs a café at Mercado San Agustín.
