Why it’s on the route

Rival Bros was started by Jonathan Adams and Damien Pileggi, a former La Colombe West Coast representative, as a roastery and coffee truck before opening this first permanent bar on Lombard Street in Fitler Square in 2014. House blends bridge lighter West Coast and bolder East Coast styles, with light-roasted rotating single origins, in a black-and-slate room with leather banquettes and oak floors.
