Why it’s on the route

Nook is a Rittenhouse café run since 2010 by Michael and Edna Caro, who roast their own coffee in small batches on a Stronghold roaster while Edna runs the bakery kitchen. The house Philly Blend comes from the batch brewer and more than two dozen single origins are brewed by the cup, listed on a nine-foot menu tower in the middle of the room.
