Why it’s on the route

Second Best Coffee is co-owned by Leia and Nathan Anderson and has been roasting all its own coffee in South Waldo for about a decade. The single shop on West 85th Street serves espresso drinks and nitro cold brew alongside house-baked goods and breakfast burritos, and its inclusive, community-minded space includes a little free library and a take-a-piece art wall.
