Why it’s on the route

Slow Burn is co-founded by Grey Smith, named New Mexico's best roaster by Food & Wine, who roasts on site with the roaster set in the middle of the shop. The bar serves single-origin pour-overs alongside drinks such as a red chile chai. The café occupies a century-old adobe that was once a general store and houses a curated library and a used-book corner, Down Home Books.
