Why it’s on the route
West Oak was opened on Denton's courthouse square by firefighters Matt Fisher and Clay Rozell, who renovated the former overflow storage of McBride Music and Pawn. The bar top is made from a 1920s boxcar and the doors came from a 1960s Dallas post office. The shop launched serving Intelligentsia coffee, with espresso, milk drinks and filter alongside local craft beer and kombucha.
