Why it’s on the route
Expat. Roasters, the Bali specialty brand founded by Australian barista Shae Macnamara, opened its first Jakarta shop in December 2023 on the 13th floor of Mori Tower in Sudirman. Most of its green coffee comes directly from Indonesian producer families and is roasted in East Java, and each cup arrives with a card naming the origin, process and producer. The roughly 100 m² space uses natural textures meant to recall Bali inside an office high-rise.
