Why it’s on the route

Java Dancer opened in Malang in 2008 and is one of the city's earliest roaster-cafés, roasting small batches and pouring a range of Indonesian single origins such as Toraja Kalosi, Sumatra Mandheling and Wamena from Papua. Filter options run from V60 to siphon and cold drip. The space is a two-storey, semi-open joglo of exposed timber with a colonial-style building behind it, decorated with old becak and cart parts.
