Worth a detour
Seniman Coffee
Ubud · Jl. Sri Wedari, Indonesia
Why it’s on the route
Seniman, meaning 'artist' in Indonesian, was opened in Ubud in 2010 by Australian artist Rodney Glick and grew from one café on Jalan Sri Wedari into a training studio and a roastery across the road. Filter coffee is mostly Indonesian, including the Kintamani-based Karana series and a Gayo-Kintamani house blend, brewed by hand on V60 or siphon alongside espresso. The room is furnished with recycled chairs and rustic wooden tables.
