Why it’s on the route
Strada was founded in Semarang in 2012 by Evani Jesslyn, a Q grader who took first place in the cupping category of the 2016 Barista & Farmer competition in Brazil. It works as a small-batch micro roaster focused on Indonesian coffee, rotating single origins from Sumatra and Java through to Toraja and Papua, and runs its own coffee academy for baristas and farmers.
