Why it’s on the route

Embankment Coffee occupies half of a two-unit wooden rowhouse built in 1912 in Kitahama, a registered heritage building looking across the Tosabori River to Nakanoshima Park. It belongs to the Elmer's Green group and works only with light roasts, with single origins sourced directly from farms in places like Ecuador, Honduras, Kenya and Rwanda, served as drip coffee or espresso drinks. Downstairs is a large round table with benches; upstairs has small tables.
