Manu Coffee Kujira

Why it’s on the route

Kujira, opened in 2017 in a renovated two-storey former stonemason's building near Yakuin, is the largest shop of Fukuoka's Manu Coffee, a roaster that grew out of the Honey Coffee lineage. Beans are roasted on site on a Loring hot-air roaster, with the ground floor given over to roasting and bean sales. Upstairs is the café, with concrete walls and a tatami corner, where French press is the signature alongside hand drip and espresso.
